Selecting Your Pursuit Series Single Barrel

Follow this guide to select your very own Pursuit Series single barrel. Once you have received your samples and you’re ready to move forward, fill out the submission form below.

Inventory

Kenny and Ryan choose barrels of bourbon to be bottled as Pursuit Series. Over 75% of the barrels sampled are rejected so only the very best will be sent to you. Know that any barrel you choose would have been released as an Episode at some point. You’re in good hands.

Bourbon

14 year old Tennessee Bourbon
These barrels provide rich depth, oak forward expressions, spice, nuttiness and full bodied character.
Traditional Retail SRP $150, Online at Seelbachs $110

9-11 year old Tennessee Bourbon
These barrels provide an exceptional choice of creamy and fruity flavors.
Traditional Retail SRP $125, Online at Seelbachs $75-$85

Average yield is 150 bottles per barrel. Some have been as low as 100 while others are 180. 6 bottles (1 case) are retained for archival purposes. By going through this process, you are agreeing to purchase all remaining bottles. Oh, and you get the barrel as well if you want it!

 

Selecting Your Barrel

If selecting 1 barrel, 100ml sample bottles from 3 different barrels will be delivered to you. Sample through them to decide which one fits your flavor profile. Each one will provide variety and no two samples will be alike. Be sure to note the barrel # on the sample label to fill out the submission form.

You did it! You’ve chosen a single barrel that spoke to you. We know it was a tough process but we’re happy to see you made it through. Let’s start customizing your label.

Barrel Details and Episode Number

Some things in life you have no control over and these are two of them.

When your barrel is dumped and bottled, the Bottle #, Age, Alc/Vol, and Proof will all be hand written. The final Alc/Vol is done during bottling. The Alc/Vol you received on your sample is an estimation based on a small hydrometer and simple math.

Your single barrel will be given an Episode number of chronological order when your order was placed. This can be adjusted if you want a custom Release Date.

Release Date

Do you plan on releasing this at a special time like Christmas? Make sure you specify the Month and Year when this will be released. If there is nothing specified, we will calculate our bottling dates and coordinate with shipping times to do our best that you receive the bottles within the month they will be released. But, nothing is stopping you to release whenever you want.

Choose a Color

Feel free to coordinate with a color that matches with your logo, your wedding colors, the vibe of the whiskey, the way you’re feeling that day, whatever. The choice is yours! Make note of a number from the right hand side to place on the form below. We cannot substitute for any other colors.

Write Your Show Notes

Here it is. The most important part. How do you want to express yourself or this whiskey with your Show Notes? Feel free to take make them fun and light hearted. You can put your tasting notes just as you wish or twist things up and put your own spin on it like we’ve done for past single barrels. If you are celebrating an event, commemorate the occasion with the date and who it was in honor of. Look at some samples below. Really anything goes! Well almost anything.

Restrictions and Guidelines:

  • You cannot use any trademarked or copyrighted name, product, or verbiage other than what you own.
  • The maximum character count is 150 but, to be honest, it looks bad. We suggest keeping it under 125 characters and under 100 looks the best.
